Snow
falls on the ground
Heels
click against the pavement
There's
one escape, but she can't leave forever.
So,
heart filled with light, she returns;
Everything's
the same but nothing's familiar.
Rudely
thrust back, further away from the darkness, yet somehow never nearer to the
sparkle at the end...
Broken
branches beautiful, nevertheless fallen.
Frustration.
Confusion.
Bitterness.
Thankfulness.
Sanctuary.
Peace.
Love.
Rays
of sunshine penetrate and she loves the beauty.
Warmth
and numbness become the replacement comfort, until blankets are cast away,
exposing the vulnerable...
Tears
are hardly a reflection of the glass droplets released by her soul.
Heels
transform back into slippers.
Plastered
smiles leave no room for droplets and sunshine faces.
Snow
keeps falling.
